Simplestream’s App Platform has been selected among the winners of the IBC Best of 2021: TVBEurope Awards.
App Platform is the out-of-the-box award-winning product, designed to streamline the launch of premium video services across multiple devices. It’s a powerful framework that allows broadcasters, sports, and entertainment brands to create feature-rich applications quickly and effortlessly, with the ability to distribute premium content offerings across all major platforms. More specifically, App Platform supports up to 13 platforms and devices – from desktop to iOS and Android, from Samsung TV and LG TV to Playstation, and more.

Recent projects, such as the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games delivered with Channel 4, saw App Platform supporting over 1,300 hours of live events, with up to 16 concurrent streams. The solution is also at the heart of the brand new suite of OTT services developed for GB News, the British free-to-air news channel launched earlier in 2021.
